I just moved to Guatemala and have been using Taxi to move around - which can b quite painful. What is the best way to buy a used car in Guatemala? Is there any Expat forum where people movign back from here sell their cars?

Guatemalans as a rule don't take care of their cars so used is a questionable way to go.

I bought my car on ebay and shipped it down here. $1000 to ship plus 26% of the market value and you're in business.
I got a better car for less cost than what you will find (used) here.
