Digital TV decoder

Hi

my TV provider has just switched off analogue TV, so my analgoue TV is now down to a few fuzzy channels. I might be leaving HU so I don't want to buy a new TV or re-new the contract. Does anyone know where I can get hold of/buy a DIGI TV digital decoder?

Thanx

Z

you can buy all kinds of electronic stuff in Mediamarkt at west end city mall near keleti railway station. Its huge and everything is there.

Are you anywhere close to Budapest?

I thought there was free, over the air analog broadcast of the basic Hungarian channels still? You may need an amplified in-doors antenna, 2-5000 HUF depending on how much you mind it looks ugly.

There's definitely free over the air digital broadcast, again, just a few basic channels all in Hungarian. You need a set top box, ~8000 HUF, usually the amplified antenna as well.

Then there are set top boxes that cost a bit more, but take a smart card with a subscription for more channels:

I have no idea whether the translated international channels have the option to hear the original English audio or not.

Or do you have a satellite dish? You could point it at some other satellite...

Hey,

Do you have problem still?? ;)
