Just found that a month ago, but can't locate it now.  I'll be renewing my M Visa/Cedula shortly...

Several options to talk with migration directly:

Thank you for responding  it's strange you can find all the info you need

regarding applying for visas in Colombia including applying for a R-VISA  , BUT

i can't find a thing regarding what documents you need to renew your R-VISA when it's time to attend your cita at migracioncolombia /  Have tried calling mulyiple times the office number but they never pick-up!

Simple pay an expert to do it for you, saving you headaches and issues in the process. Some members here recommend "Langon Law" out of Medellin, I also agree they have plenty of professionals able to handle your Visa Renewal. Give them a call for a quote.

Well i finally got the info i needed and everything has changed , the new visa fee $2,700 COP along with Cedula around combined is about $3.100  apparently their very interested in your income and i would imagine equity for taxation purposes .  The person who is goin to handle this for me has a background with migacioncolombia   . My understanding is that the cita you file  electronically which i did and recieved a date to appear is for whomever you sit down with at migraciocolombia  are  going to explain exactly what forms etc. you must fill out . When i find out more i will post it.

The combined total of 3.100 COP you say it costs is only $0.69 USD at today's rate.  They must not be too interested in getting your money!

Gunner, sixty-nine cents for visa and cedula?

That can't be right.

Get back to us with the facts...

a. So sorry, I miscalculated, the real cost is .....

b. It was a typo. The teal cost is ...

Migrations and DIAN are two different government agencies.

They dont talk to each other (yet), In fact, different branches of DIAN dont talk to each other and differnet branches of Migraciones dont even talk to each other.

This is normal understandable behavior for under paid government bureaucrats.

Migraciones are interested in your finacilial situation to be sure you wont be sponging off the system or doing anything illegal.

That is their excuse anyway.
