Pensions etc

Hi .

I am thinking of selling up in the uk to live in spain probably the Alicante area, however I am retired and rely on pensions benefits. I hold an Irish passport as well as a British passport.  Does anyone know if my pension would be transferable due to the fact I am also an irish citizen? . Replies  much appreciated thankyou.

(a) Alicante is a great area, I approve of your choice. :-) We live in Elche, and we like it a lot.

(b) Your Irish passport helps with residence, as it entitles you to "freedom of movement". Residence as an EU citizen is very straightforward.

(c) The UK has no problem paying your pension abroad, if you prefer this. Or have it paid into your UK account, and transfer it to your Spanish account as and when you need to. Or use one of the new online banks (Revolut, Wise, etc.) and pay it into this.
