The economy of Galati

Galati is one of Romania's biggest commercial traffic hubs, connected to the main European communication channels. The city's main economic activities are happening around the metal and steel industries, while around the city, the predominant domain is the agriculture. 

Agriculture plays an important role in the economy of the city, due to the large surface exploited. 

When it comes to metal and steel, the biggest steel manufacturing companies are ArcelorMittal Galati, or Indeed. The city is also the country's biggest shipbuilding dockyard. In addition to these economies stays tourism, which is becoming a significant contribution to the economy of Galati.

Galati is, first of all, an industrial city, meaning that the most present jobs are technicians, engineers, and also manual workers.
