Moving to Uruguay/finding a job?

I would like to know about how the pandemic has affected Uruguay.... Also about University positions in Mathematics.

Pandemic here has been less painful than in other places. But you must know that before getting a teaching position here you have to get your diploma recognised by Uruguayan authorities. It is not a fast procedure.
You might teach classes through internet platforms remotely (for students outside Uruguay). That might be a possibility.
