I am in need of an updated English speaking Computer Service Technician contact who is currently available to come to my residence.

Before I had a warranty on the Mac Pro I purchased in Quito a few months ago, I used to go to the whiz kid working at the computer sales-and-service store on Vargas about two blocks north of the gas station.  It's in the Colegio Mejía neighborhood. The Venezuela-Vargas-Basílica buses go right past there.  As I recall, the store's name is Compunex.  I don't have the exact cross street.

The joven and I spoke only in Spanish and, as far as I know, he doesn't do house calls.  He's really bright, though -- probably could fix a Gringa's problem even without speaking the same language.

Not sure if this will help or not Natalie? Did a quick google search for computer repairs in Quito, and several threads came back recommending ABC Computers on Colon and 9 de Octubre. It might be a possibility for you?
