You should be fine if you bring in a supply for up to three months, which is reasonable.  To be as safe as possible, bring a copy of your foreign prescriptions.

Of course, the dogs of SENAE (EC customs) could theoretically slap on any tariffs they improvise.  But if you truly need the meds, it's basically a no-brainer:  pay the tariff and stay healthy. 

After you get to Ecuador and eventually need more meds, keep in mind that most doctors cannot prescribe the so-called psychotropic meds, and you'll need to seek out a specialist who can write a "receta especial" if any of your meds falls into that category.

In the cities, where an office visit with a family doctor might cost $30, the specialist appointment might run $50.

The pharmacias, in my experience, are quite strict about not dispensing certain medicines without the "receta" I mentioned.
