I see a lot of information coming from people who are retiring in Ecuador. I would like to know what its like from someone who lives there and is in their 20s or 30s.

What city/area is best?
Whats the cost of living like?

I knew a young American couple who lived here in Cuenca for a while. They moved on as they found Cuenca had very few young expat couples - but a boatload of old...

Of course there are a lot of young people here but they are Ecuadorians.
