Question about Residencia Temporal and Dependents

Hello everyone!

I'm a Brazilian currently living in Canada and my husband and I are interested in moving to Chile. I discovered that, since I'm Brazilian, I can get a "Residencia Temporal permit" based on international reciprocity and live in Chile up to two years. However, my husband is Canadian and I'm not sure exactly sure how to bring him along.

I read on the official website that you can bring your spouse on the condition of "dependent", but I got a little confused. Does that mean that I have to prove he is financially dependent on me? Because that is not our case. Actually, based on our incomes it would be more like the other way around.

On this page https://serviciomigraciones.cl/en/residencia-temporal-permit/dependent/ under the field Spouse, one of the required documents is a: "Affidavit issued by the spouse or civil partner at a notary public, stating that they will assume the costs derived from their residence in the country."

Does this mean my husband can declare that he is financially independent and still be declared on my application as a dependent?

I would really appreciate if someone that went through this process could shed a light on this for me.
