visas issues

sharon565

Hi,
Maybe some input from people living in Brasil will help with this
seems to be complicated situation.
lets say a Brazilian company buys some industrial equipement from another company and needs this companies help to install the darn stuff. Do these people need a technical visa, temporary work visa or they can use business visa?

Visa V are just so complicated and the delays are crazy.
Praying there is some «special law»
thanks all

Hi sharon565,

Not at all sure that you will be able to find a member who can give you an answer to your question unless they've been through that before. It sure is outside of my sphere of knowledge about visas.

The best and quickest way to get an answer to your question is to contact the Consulado-Geral do Brasil em Montreal at 1, Westmount Square, suite 1700, Montreal, QC H3Z 2P9 Telepone: 514-499-0968.

Run your situation by whoever you speak to in the visa section, they will give you the most accurate information.

Will you actually be working? Physically? or just consulting? Will you be getting paid extra for this help?

If you won't be working physically and there will be no extra money exchanging hands you would have no problems entering on a tourist visa. When I applied to Toronto for a tourist visa eleven years ago from Vancouver I did so by mail. Even so I had the visa back in two weeks. Since you have a Consulate in Montreal you could get one even quicker by applying in person if there's a real big hurry.
