Registration at the federal police (for temporary visa holders)

Kurterino

As some of you already know, I arrived here a few weeks ago with a retirement visa, which is good for 12 months. According to the information that I got, I should simply have gone to the federal police with a sworn translation of my birth certificate. It turns out that it isn’t as easy, or not anymore, at least here in Salvador BA.

Upon showing up there with my birth certificate and the sworn translation, I was informed that I don’t need the translation, nor the birth certificate. Instead I had to fill out a form on the Internet (click on preencher formulário to see it: https://www.gov.br/pt-br/servicos/regis … -no-brasil), after which I received a confirmation and a code, which should allow me to make an appointment, once I have everything. Other than the form and a copy of my passport, I just need an address, a new passport photo and apparently I have to pay 204 R$ for the CRNM. Here’s the original text:

Taxa de emissão da Carteira de Registro Nacional Migratório - código da receita STN 140120   R$ 204,77. Does anybody know how to pay this tax? As far as I know 140120 isn’t a valid Pix number, so what is it and how do I use it to make the payment?

Cheers

There should be an option on the form you're completing to generate a GRU, a boleto for making a government payment; that amount should appear automatically when you fill in the code.  You can print that out and pay it at Banco do Brasil.

I went to the nearest CORREIOS to pay similar fees for various documents. Generated a boleto and printed it out.

No line at the CORREIOS either............KKKKKKKK

Wow that was quick,  thank you both very much! Thanks to you two, I was able to fill out the form, have it printed and paid like within a couple of hours after I had written this post.

Unfortunately, there were no more appointments available this month, but fortunately i have 90 days to complete the registration
