Do you and your husband work here?
My wife & I live in Tulum but i work in Playa and have been here for 4 month now. Our spanish is limited but where trying.
If your only looking for mix speaking couples then were not it, sorry.

Ola Larry I am not there yet ,coming into Cancun Dec 16th .I have been searching for language schools (me espanol is puqueno) There are several in Playa and 1 in Vallladolid. So I will visit them and decide (me gusta mas la playa!) I visited Tulum and traveled the Yucatan about 30 yrs ago and have always wanted to return.I know the area has mushroomed w/growth.  If I get down that way  maybe we can touch base. What is the budget? In Porto Morelos will be much cheaper than in Playa.

$350 -450 US $ a month  for 6 months   I know the area  a nice quitte fishing /tourist spot  Gracias  Philip in Ontario    Also like Valladolid

Just saw, that my friend offering apartment in Playacar II.

"Lovely Caribbean-style apartment in a very quiet condominium. Two large bedrooms, two bathrooms. Fully Furnished. Pool. Private parking included. Pool and golf course view. Only 5min walking from the beach. 9,000pesos/month for 1 person, 10,000pesos/month for 2 people. Low electricity bills! Our four legged friends are not admitted.
Available from now to 1st of December 2014."
