Transferring from Scottish school questions

Hi all,
We'll shortly be moving to Dubai from Aberdeen. Since the curriculum is different in Scotland compared to England, I was wondering if anyone had any advice of GCSE vs IB. My eldest is in S3 at the moment. Looking to stay somewhere in the Jumeirah Village area but not quite decided yet. Any schools recommended that aren't super expensive?!

Yes, I've looked at a range of schools but it's difficult to tell what transition would be best for Scottish students.
Any thoughts?

Emma, hoping you pick up this message. We are in the same place as you, only a while later, my sone is coming out from a Scottish school in S3, just wondering what you ended up doing?
