DOH LICENCSE

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone has been through something similar because I’m feeling incredibly stressed right now.

My family and I have been preparing for a move to Al Ain. We’ve already arranged our children’s school places, paid deposits, and started the relocation process.

I’m a UK-trained Occupational Therapist. My DataFlow report came back positive, but my DOH licence application was rejected because my mode of study was listed as part-time. The review stated that I have a “part-time qualification.”

The confusing part is that I do not have a different qualification from full-time students. I completed the exact same degree, modules, placements, clinical hours, assessments, and registration requirements. The only difference was that I studied over four years instead of three due to personal circumstances.

My employer is also surprised by the decision and has asked me to obtain a letter from my university confirming that the qualification is identical to the full-time programme and leads to the same professional registration.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation with DOH? Were you able to provide additional evidence and have the decision reconsidered or overturned?

I would really appreciate hearing any success stories, advice, or experiences from others who have been through something similar.
