Where can I find a good neighbourhood to live in Istanbul?

I'm planning to rent a studio in Istanbul on February. But I don't really know where can I find a suitable neighborhood for expats.
I'm looking for an empty studio with a monthly charge around 1000 TL. Do you know where can I find similar places.

İstanbul is huge. It'll be best to find accommodation close to your work place. You'll be able to find a studio in that price in outskirts probably.
I'm a freelance video creator/ photographer. So it doesn't really mean to me a specific location, but I think I liked Kadikoy/ Goztepe.
You might be able to find place in Goztepe in that price perhaps.  Kadıköy might be more expensive.

No problem
With 1000 TL maybe in beylikduzu area
You can find around Altıntepe which is after Bostancı and you can go to Göztepe just with a minibus. kadıköy and Göztepe are more expensive.
It is zingat.com where you can find some information regarding neighborhood.

And all of those places mentioned are they safe?
Hi,

Kadıköy and Besiktas are where majority of the expats live.
