Problem with rental of an apartment.

Olindaegu

A Turkish man is renting out my apartment at a site on the west coast of Turkey.
He refuses to give me precise details of how many weeks the apartment is being rented and what income is being earned.
He just says I will receive X Euros at the end of the holiday season.
I would like to know exactly how how much money he is taking.

Apart from cancelling my agreement with this man and finding another manager, is there any way I can get the information I want?

Advice would be appreciated.

you dont need to know this. what exactly is yr agreement? normally, you agree for a certain amount of money which is the assessment declared for taxation by you, and surplus is his profit. he also has the risk of deficit at the end of season, but you still take yr money. does he have the right to subleasethe according to the contract between you two?

Thanks for you reply.

I only had a verbal agreement with the man, nothing in writing.

This was the first time I had rented out my accommodation, so I was a bit green on procedures.

The only information he will give me is the weekly rental he charges and how much I will get at the end of the season.

I have no proof, just a feeling that he is possibly taking up to 50% of the rental income.

oh come on, how old are you? how comes that you gave yr apartment's key to a stranger in a foreign country without written agreement! moreover, tax evasion is a serious crime, you may even be sentenced into jail.

what if he disappears? or even what if he dies? do you know how much longlasting and costy procedure is waiting for you to get the tenant out, or collect money from??

Borraro

i highly recommend you to keep yr relation smooth with him, and get back yr key at the end of season, maybe you can say "i will move on to settle down".

any trust deed among you via notary?

any witness about yr oral agreement and/or handover of the key?
