Hi everyone

I stumbled on this website when my husband and I were looking for property to buy in Turkey.

My name is Tracey and my husband's name is Marty. We are both in Australia , I have lived here all my life and travelled a bit, Marty is the same except he came to Australia from the UK as a 3 year old.

Last year we spent two months in Turkey and fell in love. We were in Cappadocia for a month, travelled for 10 days on a tour and spend the rest of the time in a number of spots in Istanbul.

At the moment we both work in the civil service but have past careers as teachers, cartographer, free lance writing, photography and video, events management web designer and graphic design and community arts. Marty was the official cartographer for the Great Barrier Reef for many years. I have also been active as an artist, mainly in digital arts where I have explored landscape, cartography, geography and tourism as themes in my work. For us it is the amazing and diverse landscape in Turkey and it's incredible history and diversity of culture that draws us, but most of all the beautiful people we met while we were there.

We are thinking about how we could make the jump and live in Turkey, either working for ourselves or someone else? I am not sure if Australians can work in Turkey?
