Working in Riyadh

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to move to Riyadh in a month or so to work there. I am originally form India, tried hard to find jobs in Suadi(specifically in Riyadh) from here but failed miserably. Several friends of mine advised me to visit Riyadh on Azad-visa and start hunting jobs from within Riyadh. I am in IT and have over 4 years of experience, I would appreciate if someone could advise me in this matter.

Please let me know if you need more details about anything.

Hi zack429! Try the Riyadh classifieds > job section.

Good luck!
Thanks Christine, I will keep looking at classifieds for jobs...
Just out of curiousity, Zack, how can you move here without a job to sponsor you?

I don't quite understand the 'in's and out's' of the system here, I am afraid.

Or, when you said 'move' you actually meant 'visit'?  What's an azad visa?

Thanks for the info.

Oh, and btw, I think there are a few IT openings listed in the classifieds!
Thanks Alliecat,

I am not exactly sure how it works, but I will try to explain: I will visit Riyadh on a Professional visa which is valid for one year and during that time frame I need to find a job. Thats how I think it works.

I know there are a lot of openings in IT, but IT is like an ocean - there are several sub-fields. I am into Business Intelligence, DBA, Data Warehouse stuff. I know it will sound like Greek to a non-IT guy. Perhaps someone in IT can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for your help...Peace be with you all..
We are looking for a DBA for a planned ERP Solution in the coming months. Please let me have your resume and will see what I can do.
