Hello everyone! This is my second day on this site. Still trying to get the feel of all of this. I would really like to meet anybody working or living in al jouf or qassim! I will be landing in Saudi in less than a month. I'd really like to know how life is in saudi, and what its like to live in a compound!

Hi there.. AL jouf / Qassim.. wow.. You sure are holed up in a really tough place alright.. but then take it as a challenge and you will have fun no matter where or what the circumstances!

Thanks Armand, I also hope to make many friends/contacts soon! And you are right RedGoblin, those are two tough places! I guess in the end all I can do is make the most of my experience.

If possible, try to go to Al-Jouf and not Al-Qassim as it's more liberal there. Plus, the weather is more varied unlike Al-Qassim which is pretty much 11 months of burning sunshine and a month of winter.

You need anything more specific just ask. :)

Hi Shahab. Your thinking is spot on. I will be honest, I am a bit nervous but I have a strong feeling I'm going to love working in Saudi Arabia (Al Jouf).
