Do mobile phone companies (STC, Zain & Mobily) allow iPhone tethering on a visitors sim. I plan to use it as WiFi hotspot to link my iPad. Is it permitted by carriers and how much will it cost for a week.

Yes they do. But make sure you subscribe to a data bundle. Otherwise their rates like 2.5 SAR/MB (no-subsciption) will be a giant rip-off.

My average is 1.75G/month. I don't do much youtubing or online-gaming. And so 2GB is my subscription size.
