How is life in Riyadh?

Well, to be honest with you, this is the first time I've heard this particular rumor, although nothing surprises me here.  I would say that a guy being raped is a one-in-a-million chance. If you were a pinay, I would say your chances are greatly increased.  However, unless the money is really much better for your particular job, than any other place, I'd say there's no reason to come here.  Only for the money, if it's exceptional.  If you like the company of a female, or having any kind of opposite sex interaction, even platonic, or being able to have a beer after work, or go to a movie, just forget it here.  You will live in an all-male world, both on-duty and in the compound. You can save some money here, sure, but if you can find an agency that will work with you on sending you to Korea, or Taiwan, or SG, or one of the other many destinations OFWs go to, instead of here, then that is preferrable, in my opinion.  But if the money is just sooooooo good as to over-ride all other considerations, then come on over.  Obviously, if the money wasn't real good, neither I nor the majority of other foreigners would be here.  But I wouldn't worry about the rape part. Just don;t let anyone stand behind you. Best of luck.
