Hello,

I've read that you can't enter KSA without showing your health insurance is that right?

I have my work visa issued, is that all I need to show? My company provide Bupa health insurance but I've not got any information to show on arrival except my visa.

Also, how does it work with the health insurance if you need to go to the doctor's? Is it a case of booking an appointment and then you provide the details of your sponsor for them to arrange payment?

No that is not right. No one asks to see that.

Health insurance is a must for visit visas and it is part of the visa cost. But that is not real health insurance but rather, emergency health insurance.

For work visas, there is no health insurance at the initial visa issue time. It is only provided once the Iqama is issued - your medical check record and health insurance data is uploaded prior to Iqama issuance.

You book an appointment, go there and they sort it out subject to the terms and conditions of your policy. In most cases, you will have to pay a nominal deductible like 50 SAR with the rest being handled by the policy. The only thing you need to show is your Iqama and from that, they can pull up your insurance records.
