Employers notification

Hi every one... my sponsor is treating us very unhumane..
We are holding our pasaport and we are planning to buy a ticket going back home with out telling it to them.. my question is.. will my sponsor recieved any notification from the immigration once we leave oman, if ever how soon will he recieved it?

Hi Getstor27,

If you have your valid resident card and your passport, you are free to exit the Sultanate any time you want.

But you cannot cancel your employment visa by yourself. You would need your company PRO for cancelling your employment visa.

With your resident card and your passport, you can leave as if you are leaving on a vacation or on some short exit.

No questions would be asked and your employer / sponsor will not be informed by anybody - unless there is a 'lookout notice' has been issued in your name by your employer / sponsor - in which case you would be stopped from exiting the country.

Since you have spoken in the plural, all of the aggrieved employees can together file a case against your employer / sponsor if you have valid grounds and if you have documented evidence.

Also, you can discuss the issue with your local embassy and seek their help and guidance, if you do not wish to return home empty-handed.
