Visit visa to Resident visa

Chauhanniharika

Good morning, I am new member to this expat.com
I have some queries about visa.
Can anyone help me out plz.

1. Will visit visa can be turned to permanent resident visa without going back to home country ? Or I have to wait till my visit visa expires (duration 3 months) after that resident visa should be made ?

2. Where should I do my medical in Muscat I mean which are centres approved for it ?

3. What if I am unfit or something else does it show online somewhere (like in India) and I cannot try in other centres?

4. If unfit status is there will it affect my current vist visa ?

Plz reply

Hi Chauhanniharika,

(Am copy, pasting what I had replied to your p.m. a while back)

Find my comments against your queries please :

1. Will visit visa can be turned to permanent resident visa without going back to home country ? Or I have to wait till my visit visa expires (duration 3 months) after that resident visa should be made ? - Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no. But mostly no. Your husband must speak with his company PRO / Sponsor to see if he can manage to get your visa converted, without you having to exit the country.

2. Where should I do my medical in Muscat I mean which centres are approved for it ? - There are many polyclinics where you can do your GAMCA tests done : Badr al Samaa, Lama Polyclinic, Atlas Hospital, Aster, Muscat Private, pretty much every hospital / clinic can do it for you.

3. What if I am unfit or something else does it show online somewhere (like in India) and I cannot try in other centres? - Yes. If unfit, the results should show that. Isn't that the very purpose of doing these tests ??

4. If unfit status is there will it affect my current vist visa ? - No. Medical is only for family joining visa.
