There is huge Indonesian community here in Oman. If you earning 2000KD nett, it's not really good for family with 2 kids. School and house is pretty expensive. You should ask house allowance + kids school fees at least. Public transport super poor. Car and petrol very cheap  . . if not mistaken less than RO 1. Rent a house in Ruwi not really convenient due to bad traffic and cleanliness. 

Many hypermarket here supply basic asian food and there is a few indonesian restaurant as well embassy.

If we want to bring along a relative who happens to be with us the whole her life and has been taken car of my son even before he was born until now, how can we do this?

Yes. Its common. You can ask your.company to sponsor a visa for your family or relative or at least ask them to arrange for you. It would take ages if you do it by yourself. Usually every company has PRO who are specialist into government relation

To my understanding, getting an entry visa for a single women is complicated – unless this lady is related by blood to the primary employment visa holder, or is arriving on a proper employment visa.

Would like to ask your kind opinion. I've already signed contract with this company and I have to resign from my current company. What kind of guarantee that I should get from my next company in oman before I resign from my current?

Just a little worry if something unsure happens after I resign i.e. They cancel the recruitment or else.

Your guarantee can only be an 'Employment Visa'. Nothing else.

Till such time you get one in your hand, do not resign from your present job.

Getting an employment visa for an expatriate is not all that simple or easy these days for companies, as they have numerous legal issues to comply with.

So till you receive your employment visa you cannot be cent percent sure of securing the job.
