Hi shasta360,

The concept of part-time job does not exist in Oman.

By law, an expatriate is only allowed to work for the sponsor whose name is printed on the resident card. If caught working elsewhere, during by the Ministry of Manpower officials during the many surprise raids, the caught can be fined and sentenced to a prison term, before getting deported.

Yet, there are many who work in many different places (such as housemaids and domestic helpers to name but a few). They do so at a huge risk, willing to risk it all to earn their modest livelihood.
