Living in Tehran

My name is Nick de Koning, I am 65 years old. I have the possibility to undergo medical treatment in Tehran which means a great deal to me! The only things I read at this moment is Tehran is not safe, Leave the country, arrests of foreigners at random. Is this true, is is so dangerous at this moment? Or can I come to Tehran and be very carefull? Please let me know.

Kind regards Nick de Koning.

Well, according to the Americans and Israelis, you'll get shot as soon as you land.

It's in the Iranian's interest to make sure you have a five star experience, but who knows?

In other words, there's so much political rubbish going on, you can't know the truth until you get there.

One thing is sure, you are heading into a war zone, and that means real US and Israeli bombs are going bang.

Your first problem is going to be transport. I gather Iranian airspace is only partially open, major carrriers aren't flying in at all, and any aircraft in Iranian airspace is potentially in danger of being shot down by the US.

Frankly, it sounds like a pretty bad idea at the moment.

Because there is so much political rubbish going on I am hoping to hear from an expat living in Tehran, or have these all been locked up or shot?

I think Turkish Airlines is still flying there now and again.

I agree with you it is not the best timing but tyhe professor in the Tehran hospital is worldclass and I can't get this operation anywhere else.

I'll see if I get any other reactions.

Thanks for your message.

Greetings, Nick.

Granted.

Another difficulty might be paying because sanctions are very likely to make that hard work.

I will have to take cash money with me.
