Marriage in Iran - Foreign Wife Iranian Husband

Hello,

I see there are other questions on marriage here but no one has provided clear answers.  I was in Iran last week and my fiance and myself were trying to figure out how to get permission to marry.  I had many documents translated into Farsi with me and they were not accepted by the government.  They said the Iranian government had to translate them but it wasn't clear how to get them to do it.  They also said that we should try to get married in Turkiye instead.  I am very confused.  We asked some lawyers and they said they don't know how an Iranian can marry and American there.

I am aware that some sort of blood test has to be done IN Iran but they also provided no information on that.

Has anyone ever done this?  What do I need to do?  There is no information out there.
