Bahrain Tax Authorities

cooper1991

Ramadan Kareem !

I've been an expat in Bahrain for nearly 9 years now and have a question that I hope someone can answer.

I have to complete a UK Double Tax Treaty Relief form and have "Bahrain Tax Authorities" sign and stamp this form.

I have no idea who the Bahrain Tax Authorities are, or under which name they operate or where there offices may be.

I appreciate there are VAT authorities but that's a different thing.

Would be grateful for some insight and guidance.

Kind regards

George

Hi Mr. George,

the VAT authority who's handling TAX in the kingdom of Bahrain is  the National Bureau for Revenue, you can check this link https://www.nbr.gov.bh/ for more info.

hope this will help

Missed this post the first time around.

OP is asking a different question and it is not about VAT.   He is talking about avoiding being taxed twice on his income in his home country and needs to submit a form.  National Bureau of Revenue doesn't deal with this as it is only looking at VAT.

This is done by the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Bahrain.

Thank you for clarifying.

I apologise for the confusion
