Dear All,

I have a offer of Basic BD 1300,HAR 250 and company car. I was wondering if BD 250 will be get me a decent 1 or 2 bed room fully furnished accommodation in a decent locality. My office is in Manama and I would like my residence to be near my office.

Also, I would like to know, if the salary mentioned above is sufficient for a family of 3, considering that I am a moderate spender.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Hi Makiia and welcome to the Forum :)

You would be able to find an Apartment in Manama with the budget you mentioned.

The package you were offered would be sufficient for a family of 3 considering your moderate level of living; also you may be able to make some savings as well.

Good Luck :)

Thanks very much for your reply.

Hello Everyone-

I am an Chartered Accountant from India, and i have been offered an Job with an Audit Firm in Manama with a monthly salary of 283 BHD. and the HR is arguing that this is more than sufficient salary for Bachelors coming to Manama.

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Best Regards,
Harsha

I don't think that, the offer you got is "More than sufficient" as you were told. If in addition they offer you the accommodation and the transportation; you may be able to live with it otherwise it would be quite tough.

Vido Dido-These are the conditions which are mentioned in the offer mail. How much do you think i can negotiate for? 550-650 BHD?

4. You will be entitled to 21 days paid leave per  year..
5. You will be entitled for a return air ticket every two years.

Honestly speaking I can't answer your question, you may consider to negotiate as much as you can; the most important is; to what extent the Employer would be flexible and accept what you are looking for.

You are the only one who can answer this question my friend and know what seems to be acceptable for you and what's not.
