force majeure in Apartments

aureleonen

Hello everyone I hope everyone are safe.

I want to ask regarding apartment contracts here in Bahrain, and in relation to the recent regional tensions here in the middle east.

I do not have a force majeure specified in my lease contract, but I want to leave my apartment because I felt unsafe due to my current apartment is a high rise building and considering those drone attacks, I don't feel safe and comfortable leaving staying anymore.

Is there a law in Bahrain that allows me to leave my current contract obligations for this scenario, so I wont have to finish my full contract?

You need to see your contract.   If there is no clause then look for something that talks about building safety.   Maybe try talking to your landlord as they should be reasonable, under the circumstances?

Thank you very much I will try that.
