UK PASSPORT SCAM

I have my passport in my hand and it says it expires 14/05/2028 but if I check it online it says ‘’Your passport is valid for travel to Europe until 14 February 2027’’ that is 15 months short. I paid £85 for a 10 year passport. That means I am being scammed for £10.62. Is this a Candid Camera stunt?
