Car Insurance in Spain for UK registered car

Greetings to All Members.

I own a holiday home in the Costa Brava and I am living in Spain as a non-resident. I have a UK-registered car that is taxed and insured in the UK. However, the car spends most of its time here in Spain, and I only travel back to the UK once or twice a year. My current UK insurance only covers me for a limited period while abroad.

I would like to insure the car in Spain without registering it here. Unfortunately, my local broker has been unable to find any Spanish insurer willing to provide insurance for a UK-registered vehicle.

I’m hoping that other expats with similar experience might be able to help. If you have managed to insure a UK-registered car in Spain (without Spanish registration) or know of any companies that offer such a policy, please share your advice and contacts.
