New here but not new to Romania

Jasonyorke

Hi everyone.

I moved here in 2016 after the disastrous Brexit vote. Only one way the uk was going after that and that was downhill. Proved correct in the end.

Anyway, I live close to Arad. I'm an ex vehicle diagnostic technician but still like to dabble now and again.

I have an ok working knowledge of Romanian. I understand far better than I speak it. I sound like a retarded chicken trying to pronounce some of the words.

Would be great to hear from any English speaking folk if they are local to me. Whilst I'm ok to converse in Romanian, if they speak slowly enough, it's still nice to hear a bit of the Kings english now and again.

On a side note I can also do customs papers for anyone taking anything to the uk. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone needs that.

Best wishes all

Jason.

Jason,

Good to read your update about living in Arad.

I'm from the States.  Maine, in particular; born a

New Yorker.  Also, I have been married to a Romanian woman

for 20 years.  We mostly visit to Brasov where she grew up.

May be coming there in the Spring/Summer of 2026.

On another note,  I love the "King's English" and had a short stint in Brazil

Teaching English as a Second Language.  Oddly enough they only

had learned it from someone from your country before I came!

Keep me posted and maybe we can get together???
