That should give you an idea of why me and my lovely husband are looking to relocate to Portugal. We are hoping that 2015 will be the last UK Christmas and although our Portuguese is still basic.. we are really looking forward to finding our small "forever home" (nothing grand but we would like two bedrooms; terrace; internet; within walking distance of shops/small bars) either in the Algarve or Green Coast. We both plan early retirement but would like our current occupations to possibly provide "pin money" in our "not-so-old-age" (I am a writer; Lovely Husband is a prestige car specialist .. too complicated to explain here but I hear there are a people with very very expensive cars in Portugal and I'm sure his skills would come in handy...).
We would love to hear your stories.. particularly those of fellow late-forty-somethings who have made the move... we want to know the great stuff and the not-so-great stuff so we really look forward to dropping by and finding out what Portugal is really all about from people who really know.

here but I hear there are a people with very very expensive cars in Portugal

you have too forget this !!here in Portugal .we're many old machines
why change the plate and do import tax costs much !!

but old cars===not 'expensive cars !!!! renault 4 ,,,

Hi,

I'm Vinny, Irish, and just moved to Portugal from Dublin with my young family and loving being here so far. Love the culture here and my portuguese is improving slowly!

I'm based in Caldas Da Rainha and would love to meet some people up around that area or in Lisbon / driving distance to do some outdoorsy stuff. I'm interesting in hiking, hill walking, surfing (badly), as well as the odd pint or coffee. I'm working in IT for some Irish tech startups so also interested in anybody who's working remotely, or in the tech space.

Hello im gita from indonesia, in lisbon now, carnaxide. Glad to know u all. And lets make friendship. Im little bit lonely here. Yes, Alone.. maybe I can get new friend here, and can share the story with me. im looking for the job here also. If u need worker, I wish can match with me. My experience kindergarten teacher, baby sitter, painter, and tuttor. Im still study also in univrsity for early eduacation childhood. I like drawing, painting, walking, singing, listening music. And im good cooking also for indonesian food. Nice to meet u all

I am 39 male from Pakistan. Doing job in Federal Govt sector in officer rank. But due to un sufficient salary package I am willing to move Abroad. I seek many countries on web in Europe to move to examine my luck although I been visit Uk in 2006. But unfortunately I couldn't settled. Anyhow hope can never die to live a happy/wealthy life. So I am re trying to attempt move from Pakistan. In searching to movement country I got find Portugal and I have no hesitation in this to say this country is really like a heaven on earth. Which is filled with beauty of good environment along with cute people. I pray God may help me to come in Portugal and make me hold there inshallah.
