Planning my move to Portugal or Spain in 2027 with my 3 pets

Hi everyone!

I’m Rajeshwari, an independent biopharma consultant currently based in Bangalore, India. I work remotely with US and EU biotech/pharma clients in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Epidemiology, and I’m currently laying the groundwork for a move to Portugal or Spain in 2027.

I’ll be relocating along with my "small zoo"—1 dog and 2 cats—so my top priorities right now are finding pet-friendly residential areas (preferably near parks or coastal trails) and learning more about the local expat community.

Excited to connect with fellow expats, learn from your experiences, and hopefully share a coffee (or a dog walk!) once I arrive.

If anyone has recommendations for pet-friendly rental agents or neighborhoods, I’d love to hear them!
