Old Traveller's Check Where Can I convert in notes?

Dear Frineds,

I have 10 sheets of old traveller's Check issued by VISA... My mom made them to travel in USA in 1982.

There are her signature on each of them.

Does anybody know where in the world (surely I prefer in Lisbon) I can change these in $ notes?

   I appreciate your help!

(if you notice my other posts,,these notes would succesufully turn into my new Titulo de residencia... seems like a dream..)

Wishing you a good afternoon

Portuguese banks stopped dealing with physical traveller's cheques years ago due to the rise of digital banking and strict anti-money laundering regulations. As traveller's cheques fell out of global use, the collection and exchange service for these instruments was discontinued by the vast majority of domestic banks.

So do not waste time walking into banks in Lisbon hoping to walk out with euro notes. Instead, check the fine print of the cheques to find out the exact issuing bank, and visit Visa's Traveller's Cheque Support portal to contact the relevant back-end institution handling legacy claims:

É obrigatório aceitar pagamentos através de cheque?

Não. Ninguém está obrigado a aceitar cheques em pagamento. Em Portugal só as notas e moedas de euro têm curso legal, sendo de aceitação obrigatória como meio de pagamento.
