Registering without an address

Hi expats!

I am a German citizen looking to move to a community in Portugal. The community is based on a campsite where we are legally allowed to live in our campervans all year round, but we are not able to register to the address for our tax residency (it is not allowed habitual residents). Does anyone have any advice on how to get an address to use for tax residency?

Thank you!

If you have friends in Portugal who own or rent a property, they can sign a written declaration (declaração de alojamento) stating that you reside at their property, accompanied by a copy of their ID and property title or lease.

This declaration is accepted by most local tax offices (Repartição de Finanças) to update your NIF address.

You should ask to other members of the comunity (EU expats) what they did to solve this issue...
