Tarifa tri-horaria - Electricity price.

Strontium

Hi,  Is anyone running the Tarifa tri-horaria electricity pricing if so do you have some views on if it works out beneficial?   Elsewhere I've used a variable rate which can change by the hour but with software its possible to set a price which if it goes below then electricity is used as in a cheap rate good for car charging (some times the rate went negative so being paid to use electricity).

It's up to you to see in which time slots you consume the most energy, and whether it's worth making the change. Here are the tables with the hour intervals for the single, bi-horaria and tri-horaria options:

I have a neighbour who used the bi-horaria option and went back to the standard plan. He thought is was too much hassle for too little gain. However, large consumers might see this differently. The main advantage is probably for edp, who are always trying to peak-shave in both directions.
