Proof of Income for Residence Permit after entering on D7

shriek

Hello,

If my consulate approves my D7 visa (retiree), can I use the same proof of income (below 820 euros) and savings for the AIMA appointment when applying for the residence permit?

The reason I am asking is: my consulate's checklist does not have a specific income requirement but requires having enough money to live in Portugal for 12 months, which is different from AIMA's income requirement (only income but no savings) for the residence permit. My pension income is below the AIMA's requirement but I have savings to support myself living in Portugal. I worry that I spend the effort to get to Portugal on D7 only to be rejected by AIMA when applying for the residence permit.

Appreciate your help.

Hi @shriek, Welcome.

I'm afraid that savings are not taken into account for this minimum monthly income for D7. Retirement income and other monthly amounts, such as rents, are taken into account.
