I'm going to Norway to live close to Oslo.
There in nothing that like most in the world than surfing ... I imagine I will have to storage my beloved surfboard and adapt to new environment .. please is there any frustated surfer who had to change surfboard for snowboard? how was your experience during the transit?

I'm going through a similar dilemma... I love to run, and I can't imagine how it's going to be on winter there, coming from a sunny country and running in all seasons...

if it is a situation similar to mine, at least you can practice a few months each year. So at least you can see the positive side, you run with more desire in the summer and spring. And in the winter I have heard that is very popular ski trails without having to go to ski resorts. Good luck in your new destination and thanks for sharing your point of view so similar!

Why not run in winter time? Norwegian do

Kiting is popular at summer time, so are windsurfing

I have seen people running in the winter (Though only in certain unicey places!) Though I can't say I'm brave enough to face the cold in my running shoes personally...

Dont pack her away! You can still surf! I live in Oslo and there is a surfable spot 2 hours drive. To rub it in I have just been surfing up in lofoten and another spot abit further north..... Stavanger is good to...should arrange a trip from Oslo to stavanger...
