Hello and welcome !

What kind of jobs did you apply for ?

While waiting for members to share their insights on your query, feel free to read the Living in Rotterdam: the ultimate expat guide. It contains quite some infos about work.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You're an EU citizen, so you have the right to live and work anywhere in the EU, so the hard bit is getting the job to enable you to live wherever you chose to go.  My experience of finding a decent job anywhere in the world is that you need 4 things:

  1. Relevant experience.
  2. Relevant/current qualifications (the Dutch are very big on this).
  3. Speak the local language.
  4. Luck

You can do the maths, but the way to find work is via the employment agencies (uitzendbureau's in the country (Google can help you there), or join a networking group like LinkedIn and reach out to your peers to find out who is taking on staff and in which areas.

I hope this helps.
