Inquiry Regarding Visa Application Process

First thing; this website is not a job-seeking website; we provide a place where you can post your CV and further advise you on how to do things related to this based on our own and other members experience.

In general, the Dutch Government will consider your employability and whether there are any existing residents or other EU citizens who could fill these roles, they will be given priority.

In regard to teaching specifically, the Dutch Onderwijsloket website can advise you further; this link will take you straight to it.

One thing you haven't mentioned is whether you speak/write in the Dutch language at the B2 level; it's pretty much essential these days.

First of all, I don't intend to use this site as a job search platform. I have received a job offer as an Assistant Manager. I already have a job offer at the moment. I recently started learning Dutch. What I'm curious about is not the answer to how I can become a teacher there.

What I'm curious about is transferring my teaching career to an Assistant Manager role. If this seems possible, I would like to apply for a visa as a highly skilled migrant. I contacted the consulate, but I haven't received a response yet.

To get a decent job anywhere in another country, you need 4 things:

• Relevant qualifications
• Relevant experience
• Speak the local language
• Luck

Only you can tick the boxes, but teaching is a skilled role where you would need specialist qualifications, normally a university degree and speak the local language.  So the answer to your question is in the link I gave you, my advice is to read it, and you will have the answer you are looking for.

In regard to the assistant manager's job you've been offered, your future employer will need to sponsor your work visa and the 2nd paragraph of my original response to you is very relevant, further, any changes to the conditions under which you were granted your visa (so, a change to employer) will have to be declared to the IND.
