British Expats in Kotor?

Hey everyone ,

I will be moving from London to Montenegro - Kotor next year and of course I am aware it will be a very big change which I am very excited about! I just wanted to gather information on a few things so that I can figure out what my next steps are.

1. Is there a British or English speaking community in Kotor?
2. What are the rules on bring my car from London to Montenegro as it is a right hand drive?
3. What is the jobs market like for British Expats?
4. Is there much of Latin/Caribbean community as I love Salsa, Reggaeton and my parents are from the Caribbean? I suspect there isn't much of this but i thought id ask anyway.

Hi,
Yes you can bring in your car from UK , but if you are going to be living in Kotor long term it might be worth your while to get a car in Montenegro as it could be very difficult driving in Montenegro.
Regarding English speaking expats I am sure there are some around Kotor but I am not sure if there is a Caribbean group.
I presume you have already visited Montenegro in the past and if not it might be worth your while to come and visit and check things out.
I know you mentioned next year as your arrival time so that gives you a bit of time.
I am not sure about work in Kotor but the main employment in Kotor is tourism and at present with covid 19 this is very bad.
