Permanent residency or Article 50 withdrawel residency

volcane

hello,

I  currently hold the article 50 residency document and am eligible for permenant residency (actually, its been approved but I have not yet done the biometrics)

But now I am wondering if I lose anything by taking the perm over the article 50? For me the benefit of extended absences matter but it seems quite hard to get a clear comparison between these 2 permits online. The perm one seem to have a shorter expire time for example.

I know a few here have opted for perm residency over article 50 residency so I am curious what made you choose that and what was better.
