Renting/Leasing a car

Hi. We are from Malta, interested in purchasing a small holiday appattment in a hsmlet on the mountains. We need to know whether any car renting companies have affordable prices for long term eg 6 weeks. Driving is a must to get to our destination and coming over with our car is not an option. Any tips will be truly appreciated

HI.  6 weeks is not considered a long term rental.  If you are comingover in low season you will find good deals-  in high season its virtually impossible.  Obviously its cheaper if you find a local supplier rather than hire from the airport.   Where are you buying?

We live in Rapallo and just rented a car for six weeks from Drivalia. They had by far the best rates for both short-term and the longer six weeks we required. The only minor problem is that you may have to pick up the car at an airport. We had to take the train to Genoa to pick up our car.
