Armand

Hi all,

What do you think about the means of transportation in Gibraltar ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed? What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

How much is a fare?

Are they relatively safe?

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Gibraltar?

Thanks in advance for participating!

OK

Is the network of means of transportation well developed?

Given how small Gibraltar is, yes

What modes of transport are available?

Public bus service, cable car and taxis.

Do you use them?

Buses occasionally.

How much is a fare?

Free in town for the buses, there are four routes and they all interchange at the market place/Reloj.

The number 5 service travels from the Gib side of the frontier to Reclamation Road via market place and the cost of a single is £1.

The cable car goes up and down the rock with a stop in the middle. I'll have to check on the price.

Taxis are also primarily aimed at tourists wanting to go up the rock.  That's something around £20 - again, I'd need to check.

Are they relatively safe?

Yes.

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Gibraltar?

Walking.

There's a post on my blog about the buses, with links to the govt timetables and routes.
