Despite the house prices have come down during the recent years, banks are still not as much willing to give mortgage to buyers as they did in the past. Therefore the rental market is busier than ever. The rental prices in Bahrain is one of the highest in the country. An average 2-bed flat in the centre of Brighton is about £800 per month.

There are number of property websites operating in the UK - such as Zoopla, Find a Property and Rightmove. As you can see on these websites, most of the properties are let via an estate agent. These agents will advise you during the rental process and depending on the owner of the property, some might want to ask for references / either from your previous landlords or from your employer if you've never lived in the country before. But this doesn't happen every time.

Usually you pay a month's rent as deposit and you get this back at the end of your tenancy period. And usually you sign a contract of at least year however it is possible to get out of this contract upon mutual agreement.
