Hi again.

You've already seen and responded to a similar post in the past.  As you're finding out, it's not easy to get work in the UK that will qualify you for a shortage occupation visa.  It's going to get even harder at the end of the year when they introduce the world-wide points system for all, as you'll also be competing with the EU citizens that up until then had the right to just go and look.

Bearing in mind the list, what sort of work are you looking for?

What kind of job do you look for? If its in education have a look HERE. But without you saying what your degree is in, can't that much.

Hi again.

If you read the list I referred you to, you'll see that none of those are mentioned in any of the jobs listed; perhaps that's why you aren't getting anywhere.

My advice is to actually read the list I linked to previously and consider if what you have the qualifications and experience in doing, can fit into one of those job titles; if not then, unfortunately, you won't get a work visa.  If you do, then use apps such as LinkedIn to reach out to similar professionals and see what advice they can offer you related to companies actually taking people on (bearing in mind that these companies will have to sponsor your application).

Hope this helps.

Great help. Thnx!

Based on the new points system you'd need 70 points to qualify. Having a PhD would already give you 10 points. The rest of the information can be found here on this UK government website:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati … -statement

So it would seem that having a PhD, being able to speak English well and having a reasonably paid job offer would probably get you in.

You just need to find a job....

Thanks. but the problem is to find that job! :)
